    The Accounting Intern can expect to participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, analyze actual receivable and  financial data, explore more about bookkeeping software, and assist with other accounting activities.     Responsibilities

    In this position you will be:

    • Posting customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
    • Resolving collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with collections department.
    • Resolving  valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
    • Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
    • Summarizing receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing report.
    • Verifying validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, contracts, customer service departments, and from customers.
    • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
    • Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
    • Taking on additional tasks or projects to engage more about accounting and office operations.

    Qualifications

    We'd love to hear from you if:

    • You are a recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting.
    • You have a satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
    • You have aptitude for math, proficiency with computers.
    • You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • You have a high level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
    • You are motivated and have strong desire to tackle on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
